Walk in Wardrobes

There is something special about stepping into a walk in wardrobe designed to your personal taste.  Open wardrobes present clutter free organisation with rows of clothes, sectioned between wardrobe dividers for formal and casual clothing sections.  Shoes displayed on angled shelves above low-level pull-out shoe trays, fitted on soft glide runners, for ease of use.  Chest of drawers of different heights provide flexible storage to cater for one or both partners to store under garments. To appreciate personal items, compartmentalised glass fronted drawers provide display for watches, jewellery or designer sun glasses. Simplicity is key, standing back from rows of shelves, each set at different heights.  For shoulder bags to smaller handbags, this is just one reason to have your own bespoke walk in wardrobe.  Our designer will help you review suitable storage solutions with consideration for both open wardrobe systems and wardrobe door designs, and you could be surprised at just how obtainable a personalised design walk-in wardrobe truly is!

Bedroom Ideas

The earlier we are informed about a bedroom project, the better the bedroom design becomes with consideration for more bedroom ideas for the design and location of your wardrobes, particularly if the bedroom you have to fit a wardrobe in is part of a renovation or building extension.  Your wardrobe designer will get to know your ideas and thoughts on the location your fitted wardrobes.  We explore the possibilities for alternative storage options and provide recommendation factoring in the options to move the location of doorways or walk-through to improve your wardrobe storage and location.  Simple changes like this at the early stages of a bedroom project help to create symmetry in runs of wardrobe doors and the positioning of a walk-through wardrobe with a set of wardrobe doors opening into an en-suite, walk in wardrobe or dressing room.

Corner wardrobes ensure every possible space filled with practical storage.  For period properties with ornate plaster coving, a wardrobe design with a profiled cornice should sit slightly below the ceiling coving to draw the eye line from the wardrobe cornice to the detail of the plaster coving, enhancing elegant features of the bedroom.  For optimum storage space, wardrobe cupboards over a bed provide suitable storage for a large suitcase, travel bag, ski wear or extra duvets and bedding.  For bedrooms with a high ceiling, tall wardrobe doors show the wardrobe door design without breaking the door design with wardrobe top cupboards and provide easy access to storage space.

Dreamed of having a shoe storage cabinet to display your beautiful collection of designer shoes, then dream no more! We design and build bespoke shoe cabinets to store rows of shoes in all their glory.  We build in furniture to walk in wardrobes, dressing rooms and create a stand-alone piece of furniture.  Our shoe cabinet designs are fitted infront of chimney breasts with single row shoe storage, under windows running the full length of wall space with two rows of shoe storage front and back, to upright cabinets with two or more doors.  From open front shoe cabinets, practical shoe storage behind cupboard doors to elegant clear glass fronted doors we can design a cabinet for shoe collections of any amount.

Walk In Wardrobe Island

If you are considering a walk in wardrobe island, we guide you through the options available and highlight which design will provide the best storage solution for you.  Each walk in wardrobe island is bespoke designed to an exact specification for the space available, ideally leaving a minimum of 800mm to 1000mm on all sides to walk around the island.  The main combinations are a sixteen-drawer island, comprising of eight drawers either side with four smaller top drawers.  The smaller drawers can be fitted with drawer dividers to accommodate jewellery, ties, sunglasses, watches or scarfs.  This configuration is typically 1900mm wide by 1200mm deep, but can be modified and width of drawer reduced.

A variation to the sixteen-drawer island is to have a seven-drawer dressing table one side and eight drawers on the reverse side.  For smaller spaces, a single row of four or eight drawers works well with an option to add a padded seating area at one end. Island tops can be a plain surface with a clear glass top or specified with beautiful marble or quartz surface.  A stunning feature is to have sections cut out in the island top and have clear toughened glass inserted.  Give careful consideration to your choice of wardrobe handles as the handles do transform the finished look you want to achieve.
